Chalais is lucky he only got a minor wound to the forearm. Rozier was clearly focused first and foremost on a clean defense. When in range he stayed on point with minimal movement of the arm compared to Chalais who took to swinging a bat. Rozier bid his time and when Chalais was assisted offline with his own point Rozier closed just enough to land a hit then partially opened the distance again to avoid any immediate reprisal. Watch the economy of Rozier's movements vs the frantic and exaggerated ones of Chalais. Rozier knew immediately this was a matter of keeping himself safe until his opponent's wild motions opened him to a hit which was safe for Rozier.

Мужик в очках уверенно держал центр, его оружие в защите отклонялось строго в пределах необходимости. Оба использовали провоцирующие удары по клинку, парень при этом часто терял равновесие и контроль средней линии. У парня не было шансов, мужику в очках уважение.

If dueling is allowed today, with the firm rule that forbids professional duelers who stand in for one of the men, there will be fewer cowardly trolls insulting another man on social media and in person, because the troll knows that the moment he insults another without provocation, he better back it up with his life.
